We all have our share of weaknesses, from small decisions to big matters. From our forgetfulness to our capacity to hold vengeance on others. From our insensitive mouth to our unhelpful silence.
These are weak points that always manifest whenever we are triggered or challenged by a person or a situation.
Why am I asking you to know your weakness? Because we can never journey with the Lord in His Passion, Death, and Resurrection if we fail to accept and recognize our weakness.
In my journey, I have come to believe that knowing one’s self holds a great power that will always lead to responsibility. Because only when we know deep within who we are and what we are capable of doing, will we be able to embrace the responsibility that comes with it.
When we recognize our weaknesses, it will help us strive to faithfully cling to God. That even when we fail at times, we rise again knowing that we can rely on God for renewal and forgiveness.
Judas and Peter went through the sad reality of living out their weakness. But Peter chose to accept that his weakness can be a doorway to God’s mercy and a life of dependence on Him.
Ikaw, ano ang pipiliin mo?
To let your weakness as a hindrance for God to work? Or to use your weakness as a reminder to strive faithfully every day to depend on God?
Indeed, “in our weakness, God’s strength is made perfect.”
May you recognize your weak points and let God’s power transform your weakness into something that glorifies Him.
Journeying beyond,
Deanne
