JUST BELIEVE

Do not be unbelieving, just believe!”

What aspect of your life right now is God asking you to believe? In His words? In His ways? In His time?

What is your response to His invitation?

I took this photo in 2019 in the beautiful province of Ilocos Norte. I was discerning my life’s direction when God sent me on a mission in the far north.

There God opened my eyes to a love that is genuine and perfect. A love that He alone can give. Because that mission trip reminded me that He will always love me no matter what because that is His nature. His love does not depend on what I can give or what I can offer in return.

His love is freely given.

A few months after that trip, I courageously answered yes to God’s leading of walking the unfamiliar road of going out of full-time pastoral Work. His love moved me to swim into the unknown and gave me the courage to pursue His desires for me.

At that time, I watched the vast land ahead of me as I tried to convince myself to be logical with my decision. As I looked closer to where I was heading fears started to disturb me, for the road ahead was narrow, unfamiliar, and uncertain. But God’s assurance was constant, all He was asking of me was to ‘believe.’

So, I did.

And here I am, walking into that unfamiliar road, learning and embracing what life has to offer and striving to live out the faith that led me to where I am now.

Up to this day, God’s constant reminder for me, “Deanne, just believe”, resounds all the more in the many situations I am in. And I continue to hold on that His love is and will always be freely given all I have to do is to ‘believe’.

Whatever you’re going through now and wherever God is leading you, just believe! You have the best companion on your journey!

The art of noticing.

For you, what does it mean to notice something? For me, it means being present. It means opening my eyes and my senses to where I am. It means taking the time to look—to pause, to stop, to simply be. Lately, I’ve been striving to practice this habit of noticing. It’s not as easy as…

A year of GROWTH. Thank you, 33!

A few weeks ago, I turned 34. If you know me, you know that I am quite sentimental when it comes to my birthday. Every year, I make it a point to take some time to grasp where I am, look back on the year that has passed, and reflect on the life that I…
